The worst prison is the one that makes us slaves of ourselves
Jesus speaks to me and to you:. "When you belong to me, you're not a slave from the State anymore, you are now my prisoner. Once you accepted me as your savior and you gave me your life, you are mine. No man can have you as his possession."
The apostle Paul knew this truth when he was a captive in the prisons of Rome, for having preached the gospel; he always introduces himself as "a prisoner of Jesus Christ." And if men sentence you to many years in prison, your life will be in my hands and not in theirs.
And also my server Joseph was in prison as you and I am. And it was the time required for the grace of God to work in his life, and then I let him leave his prison, and made him the Governor of Egypt. So, overnight, from captive he was elevated to the highest office in the government.
But he was faithful to God in his jail time. He had a holy life. In other words, he was innocent of the crimes he was charged, but you and me are not innocent, but thank God our sins are already forgiven and our faults have been erased.
And it's not what you did in the past that keeps you trapped, but what it is today. And if you have a pure life and walk in my justice, you have a life of inner freedom. "So if the Son sets you free, you shall be free indeed", but "whoever commits any sin is a slave of his own sins."
There are free men who are captives of their sins and bad habits. And there are prisoners who have free spirit. These are who know the great freedom. No matter the external circumstances, your life will always be free. I always release the spirit of my captives, but never abandon them. I love you like you have never violated my laws. I know you before your birth. I know the external circumstances that turned you into what you are today. And it is only coming back to me with all your heart, with all your soul, you can expect in the future. The mercy from the man is limited or simply does not exist. But the mercy of God Father is boundless. So, believe in Jesus Christ, my brothers, that your time may be now.
